Lawn Care

If the grass is greener on the other side of the garden fence, maybe it’s time for a little lawn pampering. There is something very appealing about a freshly mown, striped lawn, its surface glistening with early morning dew, but it doesn’t happen by chance and any grass surface will slowly deteriorate if neglected. Maintaining a lawn in tip-top condition requires regular care in seven main areas — mowing, feeding, weed-killing, watering, aerating, scarifying and repairing. Mowing is carried out throughout the growing season, from early spring until late autumn. The best finish comes from a cylinder lawn mower that rolls as it cuts, creating classic parallel stripes, in opposite directions — slightly overlap each strip to prevent thin ridges of uncut grass.
