Southend Farm In August

An informal garden with informal mixed borders edging lawns that wrap around the ancient building. Wedged between the back of the house and boundary wall is a raised pond and terrace where erigeron and Verbena bonariensis seed at will. A dining table sits in a sheltered corner, whilst planted pots of salvias, succulents and ornamental grasses are designed to be both attractive as well as low maintenance. In another quiet corner, an arbour sits on the lawn, nearby a dry shade border and white-themed border. This garden is continually evolving as the owners experiment with an ever widening palette of flowers.
